Corvallis, Oregon, and "Life is Good!"

DSC_0140

Hello from beautiful Corvallis! We're up here visiting friends and on our way up to lovely Vancouver, Washington tomorrow for the Life is Good Unschooling Conference. We're pretty excited, this is our 6th year and we've loved every year of it and it's a huge part of our unschooling journey. We connect and re-connect with like-minded folks from all over the country, sometimes world! Hope you're enjoying the heat down in S. California and staying cool either by a dip in a local pool or cooling off down at the beach. Take some pictures and share with us this Friday for Friday's, "Soar & Explore!". Just email it to me at mandaroo63 at yahoo dot com by Thursday night 8pm, or post on our Facebook page, here.

Have a great week and.....

(a late) Soaring on a Sunday

From 2012-04-21

Sorry for the lateness, but I'm sure you'll forgive me, especially if you're a mama. I enjoyed my Mother's Day with the family. We had my mom and dad over and bbq'd some carne asada and pollo, and steamed some peppers, yellow squash, and zucchini on the grill. And, a tasty cheesecake, afterwards.  So yummy. I hope you enjoyed your Mother's Day with loved ones.

I'll be traveling up to Portland, Corvallis (OR) and Vancouver, Wa. these next two weeks to visit friends and to go to the Life is Good Unschooling Conference, that we've been going to for the last 6 years. If you're an unschooler and haven't been to a conference, you really must check one out. They have them all over the country. We've been to LIG and also Good Vibrations, which this year has changed to Wide Sky Days and is in Del Mar, CA (San Diego). It's coming up in September. I'll post some links on the sidebar to some more unschooling conferences happening this year. There's even some in the UK and other countries now.

Friday's Soar and Explore

From SDFS May Day at Harry Griffen Park

Happy Friday and "May the 4th be with you!" this lovely Friday day. This photo was taken at Harry Griffin Park in La Mesa. We spend many park days there for various events with our unschooling group, the San Diego Funschoolers.  We've had egg hunts, LARPs and other fun activities there. Most recently a May Day Celebration where the kids were given colorful streamers and flowers to parade around the park in . There's a wonderful amphitheater there (seen in the background of this photo) and some lovely trails with wildflowers in bloom. There's a huge flat grass area to run around and play on as well as a nice playground area.
Where have you "Soared and Explored" to in San Diego this week? Share here in the comments with a link, or send me a .jpg file and tell me a little about it and I'll post it in next week's post.
In the meantime, continue to Soar & Explore and May the 4th be with you.....we're off for some light saber fun, we are.
