Inez Grant Park Memorial Rose Garden in Balboa Park

From Rose Garden Balboa park
I went to the Inez Grant Parker Memorial Rose Garden at Balboa Park, which is across the street from the Ruben H Fleet Science Museum this past weekend with IFLC for a photography class. It was my first time across the street to this beautiful rose garden though I've admired it from across the street for quite a while, always meaning to get over there for a closer look. If you're ever at Balboa Park be sure to head over there for a stroll through the lovely garden and the wonderful scent of roses. There's even a small grass area for a picnic if you like.

Here's a few more from the day. Hope you enjoy them and have a chance to get out there soon to enjoy them in the real.

There's also a cactus garden which is by the pedestrian bridge on the way over to the rose garden. There's some wonderful, unusual looking cacti there.

Have a great week!

Soaring on a Sunday

KA-CHOW!!! It's December and time for lots of great activities for the family to do this month.  My family was invited up to California Adventure and Disneyland to check out the Holiday decorations.  We headed over to the new Cars Land and were not disappointed! The decorations were amazing! As you can see in the above collage, there were "Cars" themed Christmas trees throughout Cars Land, and also some wonderful holiday decorations throughout California Adventure and Disneyland. We rode the "Radiator Springs" ride and had the best time.

I just have to share a few pics from the day, then I'll share some great events and activities going on this month.

Cars Land was a blast, but so was the rest of California Adventure. My husband rode Screaming California, the whole family enjoyed our never-to-be-missed ride on Soaring Over San Diego, uh, I mean Soaring over California and we even took a picture with Mickey and Minnie! Fun Times.
