Did you miss the Butterfly Jungle at the Safari Park? Well, did you know that there's a Monarch Program facility in Encinitas open April-November?  That's right. The Butterfly Vivarium is a wonderful place to see the beautiful monarchs up close. They are open on Saturdays to the public from 11am-3pm and in the summer, Thurs.-Sat. Wednesday, April 25th - May 13th. Cirque Du Soleil presents "TOTEM", at the Del Mar Fairgrounds.


Saturday, April 28th, 8:30am-10:30am. Children's Book Party at Spreckel's Organ Pavilion in Balboa Park. All children get a free book.


Saturday, April 28th, 9am-4pm. Spring Garden Festival at Cuyamaca College. Free event. Animal encounters, Children's activities, Horticulture Demos, Live music.


Saturday, April 28th, 11:00am-4:00pm. Dia Del Nino, Children's Day at Grape Park in Escondido. Día Del Niño - Children's Day is celebrated on various days throughout the world to honor children. San Diego Children's Discovery Museum is excited to present the 2nd Annual Día Del Niño - Children's Day to celebrate children and childhood. Bring your family out for an afternoon of FREE family fun including live music, games, hands-on activities for children and a chance to connect with others and learn about positive family programs.


Saturday, April 28th, 10:00am-3:00pm. Earth Day Festival at Alta Vista Garden in the City of Vista. Music, activities, games, dancing, garden tours and more!


Saturday, April 28th, National Park Day and Jr. Ranger Day at Cabrillo National Monument, San Diego. Free admission to national parks on April 21-29th.




Saturday, April 28th, and April 29th, 9am-5pm.   Encinitas Street Faire. 450 unique food, arts and crafts vendors, five live music stages, children’s rides, and the Beer Garden Stage.


Saturday, April 28th, 12pm-8pm. Train Song Festival at Old Poway Park, in Poway. Train Rides, storytelling, learn about the history of trains, live music, train display,picnic in the park and more.
